Issue:

I’m getting an error message, “Retrieving the COM class factory for component CLSID {CF4CC405-E2C5-4DDD-B3CE-5E7582D8C9FA} failed due to the following error: 80040154”, when I try to run Snap Schedule.

Cause

The error is caused by a Windows setup/system configuration that prevents the WMI service from being started properly.

Resolution:

Snap Schedule 2008 is a .NET software application and requires the Microsoft Windows WMI service to be running. More than likely, the problem is related to your installation of the .NET Framework 3.0.
