{"id":107,"date":"2008-07-08T12:02:03","date_gmt":"2008-07-08T19:02:03","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/snapschedul.web801.discountasp.net\/employee-scheduling-blog\/?p=107"},"modified":"2022-08-16T19:11:40","modified_gmt":"2022-08-16T19:11:40","slug":"error-when-trying-to-import-data-from-quickbooks","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bmscentral.com\/learn-employee-scheduling\/error-when-trying-to-import-data-from-quickbooks\/","title":{"rendered":"Error when trying to import data from QuickBooks"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1>Issue:<\/h1>\n<p>I\u2019m getting an error message, \u201cRetrieving the COM class factory for component CLSID {FC3C4882-C13E-46E7-96F1-CEE313320787} failed due to the following error: 80040154\u201d, when I try to import data from QuickBooks.<\/p>\n<h2>Cause<\/h2>\n<p>The error is caused by a QuickBooks setup\/system configuration that prevents the Snap Schedule from accessing the currently running instance of QuickBooks.<\/p>\n<h1>Resolution:<\/h1>\n<p>Snap Schedule 2008 is a .NET software application and uses the API provided by Intuit to access data within QuickBooks. This API is sometimes not installed during the QuickBooks installation process and must be installed after the fact.<\/p>\n<p>Snap Schedule uses version 7.0 of the QuickBooks SDK to communicate with the currently running instance of QuickBooks Pro or QuickBooks Simple Start. If you receive this error you can try installing the QBFC 7.0 library on the machine that contains both Snap Schedule and QuickBooks.
