{"id":117,"date":"2008-05-14T10:44:27","date_gmt":"2008-05-14T17:44:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/snapschedul.web801.discountasp.net\/employee-scheduling-blog\/?p=117"},"modified":"2008-05-14T10:44:27","modified_gmt":"2008-05-14T17:44:27","slug":"create-a-desktop-shortcut-to-your-schedule-file","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bmscentral.com\/learn-employee-scheduling\/create-a-desktop-shortcut-to-your-schedule-file\/","title":{"rendered":"Create a desktop shortcut to your schedule file"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Snap Schedule version 1.0.2988 (and all previous versions) did not include a way to bypass the &#8220;Getting Started&#8221; screen even if you have been working with your schedule file for some time.  <\/p>\n<p>If you would like to bypass the &#8220;Getting Started&#8221; screen and\/or create a quick way to open your schedule file, you can create a desktop shortcut to your schedule file as follows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Close Snap Schedule.<\/li>\n<li>Using Windows explorer, navigate to the directory containing your schedule file.<\/li>\n<li>Right-click (and hold) on the schedule file and drag the icon to your desktop.<\/li>\n<li>Release the right mouse button and select &#8220;Create Shortcut&#8221; from the context menu that appears.<\/li>\n<li>You can now double-click on your newly-created shortcut to launch Snap Schedule and open that specific schedule file.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Note that Snap Schedule software versions after 1.0.2988 provide an option to hide the &#8220;Getting Started&#8221; screen at application start-up.  In these subsequent releases, the last schedule file used will be opened if the &#8220;Getting Started&#8221; screen has been disabled.
