{"id":853,"date":"2013-01-21T17:43:56","date_gmt":"2013-01-21T17:43:56","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/snapschedul.web801.discountasp.net\/employee-scheduling-blog\/?p=853"},"modified":"2013-09-25T19:15:53","modified_gmt":"2013-09-25T19:15:53","slug":"snap-schedule-auto-detect-scheduling-conflicts-video","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bmscentral.com\/learn-employee-scheduling\/snap-schedule-auto-detect-scheduling-conflicts-video\/","title":{"rendered":"Snap Schedule Employee Scheduling Software &#8211; Automatically Detect Scheduling Conflicts"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Snap Schedule employee scheduling software can automatically detect all sorts of schedule conflicts.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/zSwFnv_fsjU\" height=\"315\" width=\"560\" allowfullscreen=\"\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Any conflicts will be clearly flagged, and color-coded, on all of the Schedule views.\u00a0 Simply hover over the cell for an explanation of the problem, like overlapping shifts, or just an employee who needs more hours.\u00a0 And when you assign an employee to a shift, any new conflicts will be detected and flagged immediately.<\/p>\n<p>You can go to the Manage section, click on Settings, and then click on the \u201cSchedule Validation\u201d tab, to customize these options.\u00a0 Just\u00a0 check off the types of conflicts you\u2019d like to detect, including problems with Shift Assignments, Task Assignments, and individual employees\u2019 work hours\u00a0 such as exceeding overtime limit or the number of consecutive work days.\u00a0 You can keep it simple with yellow and red flags, or assign a different color for each type of conflict. \u00a0When you\u2019re done, click OK.<\/p>\n<p>You can also click on Reports, and run a Daily Assignment Validation report, to quickly identify all of the conflicts that need your attention.<\/p>\n<p>By default, you\u2019ll see a list of conflicts for the current week, organized by day, including each employee who has a problem, the nature of the conflict, and the affected shift.\u00a0 You can open the drop-down at the top and list conflicts for the current month, the quarter, or the whole year.\u00a0 Scroll down for more options.\u00a0 Or, just use the calendars to define a start date, and an end date, and see conflicts for any time period you like.<\/p>\n<p>You can scroll through your list, or use the links in the sidebar to jump straight to a particular date.<\/p>\n<p>Then, click on an employee\u2019s name to see the details about their shift, and their conflict.\u00a0 You can make changes to the shift, or just remove it entirely.\u00a0 And then, click OK.\u00a0 Now, click \u201cRefresh\u201d on the toolbar to update your report, and the conflict disappears from your list.<\/p>\n<p>Once you\u2019ve resolved all your conflicts, you can go to the Schedule section and click on Schedule Outlook, to make sure you still have as many employees assigned to each shift as you need.\u00a0 You can also click on the Shift view, and then look at the bottom of the page, to see how many of the workers on that shift fill a particular Position, or have a particular Skill.\u00a0 That way, you can make sure that no position or skill is under- or over-staffed.<\/p>\n<p>Thanks for watching.\u00a0 To learn more, please visit our website at <a title=\"our website\" href=\"http:\/\/www.bmscentral.com\/\">www.BMScentral.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Snap Schedule employee scheduling software can automatically detect all sorts of schedule conflicts.
