With Snap Schedule Premium, your employees can punch in and out using Employee Remote Access, and you can monitor their attendance from your desktop.<\/p>\n
<\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>To turn on this special feature, just go to the Manage tab, click on \u201cEmployee Access,\u201d and then check \u201cAllow employees to punch in and out.\u201d\u00a0 You can also set limits here.\u00a0 How early and how late can your employees punch in?\u00a0 How early or late can they punch out?\u00a0 When you\u2019re done, click OK.<\/p>\n<p>Employees can record their work hours using any web browser or our mobile app.\u00a0 They\u2019ll choose \u201cPunch In\/Out\u201d on the main menu, and click \u201cPunch In.\u201d They\u2019ll choose the appropriate reason: are they starting a new shift, coming back from lunch, or have they reached their assigned post or started their next job?\u00a0 They can type in a comment, as well.\u00a0 Then, they\u2019ll click \u201cPunch In\u201d again to confirm.\u00a0\u00a0 Likewise, they can Punch Out\u2014for instance, when they\u2019re ready to go to lunch\u2014and confirm.<\/p>\n<p>To manage your employees\u2019 punches, just go to the Schedule tab, and click on Punch view.\u00a0 You\u2019ll see a list of your employees, with their assigned shifts for the day.\u00a0 And you\u2019ll also see a green diamond marking each time an employee punched in, and a red diamond marking each time an employee punched out.\u00a0 Hover over a cell, and you can see the exact time and reason for every punch. \u00a0New punches are updated automatically.<\/p>\n<p>Punch view makes it easy to compare each employee\u2019s assigned shift (the color-coded box) with the hours the employee actually worked (the lines between the diamonds).\u00a0 On the right-hand side, you\u2019ll also see each employee\u2019s total planned hours for the day, as well as the actual hours worked. A zero means an employee has not yet punched in; a dash means\u00a0an employee\u00a0has not yet punched out.\u00a0 And of course, you can expand the cell to make these numbers easier to read.<\/p>\n<p>The graph at the bottom of the page shows your total coverage at each point in the day, with planned coverage in blue and actual coverage in green.\u00a0 Hover over the graph to see exactly how many employees were punched in at a particular time.<\/p>\n<p>By default, each column represents one hour.\u00a0 But you can open the dropdown under the word \u201cPunch,\u201d and choose a different timescale\u2014or even see your staff\u2019s punches as a \u201cList.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>At the top left, you\u2019ll see any pending \u201cin\u201d punches: that is, employees who have not yet punched in, even though their shifts have already started.\u00a0 You\u2019ll also see a list of employees who have punched in, but have not yet punched out.\u00a0 And on the right, you\u2019ll see a complete list of all of the employees who have punched in or out today, and every one of their punches\u2014including the exact time, and the reason, for every punch.\u00a0 As always, you can use the date picker on the toolbar to see this same information for any date you like.<\/p>\n<p>For more details, you can double-click on an employee\u2019s name\u2014or on one of that employee’s\u00a0shifts, if you\u2019re using the graphical view.\u00a0 Here, you\u2019ll see your employee, the shift, and every one of the punches for the employee.\u00a0 If the employee\u00a0forgot to punch in, you can click \u201cPunch In\u201d and record a new punch for the employee.\u00a0 Just choose the correct date and the appropriate time.\u00a0 You can also jump straight to the scheduled start time for the employee’s\u00a0shift and then make any adjustments, or punch them in right \u201cNow.\u201d\u00a0 Then, click \u201cPunch In\u201d again to confirm.<\/p>\n<p>Likewise, you can Punch Out for an employee\u2014for instance, at the scheduled end of the employee’s\u00a0shift\u2014and confirm.\u00a0 You can even choose an existing punch and Delete it, or click \u201cEdit\u201d and make any changes.\u00a0 When you\u2019re done, click OK.<\/p>\n<p>Finally, you can go to the Manage tab and click on Report, to generate a variety of reports based on these punch records.\u00a0 Choose Employee Activities to review all of the punches made by a particular employee, or at a particular work location.\u00a0 Choose Employee Work Hours, to review your staff\u2019s total recorded hours at each location, create detailed employee timesheets for accurate payroll processing, or compare recorded and scheduled hours by employee or by location.\u00a0 You can even calculate accurate Labor Costs for each employee-or for your whole staff- based on the hours they actually worked.\u00a0 Notice: Green icons mark reports based on planned work schedules; brown icons mark reports based on actual punch times.<\/p>\n<p>Thanks for watching.\u00a0 To learn more, please visit our website at <a title=\"Snap Schedule employee scheduling software website\" href=\"http:\/\/www.bmscentral.com\/\">www.BMScentral.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>With Snap Schedule Premium, your employees can punch in and out using Employee Remote Access, and you can monitor their attendance from your desktop.
